Entry Requirements
1. Applicants shall be non-Chinese citizens and meet the requirements stipulated in the JWH [2020] No.12 Document issued by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. Applicants shall be physically and mentally healthy and willing to abide by the laws and regulations of China and the regulations of Wuhan University.
2. Applicants shall be between 18 and 25 years of age as of Sep. 1, 2025. Applicants under the age of 18 shall submit a guarantee letter from their guardians in China when applying.
3. Language Ability
Applicants for English-taught programs shall hold a TOEFL 80+, TOEFL Essential 8+ or IELTS 6.0+ certificate. Applicants whose mother tongue is English or who have previous degrees taught through the medium of English can be exempted from TOEFL, TOEFL Essential and IELTS if approved by Wuhan University.
4. Identity Verification of Ethnic Chinese
If one or both of the applicant's parents are Chinese, or the applicant has emigrated from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao or Taiwan and acquired foreign nationality, according to the No.12 Announcement of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China (2020), they shall be naturalized for four years or more (before Apr. 30, 2025) and have more than two years of residence in foreign countries during this period (actual residence in a foreign country of more than nine months in a year can be calculated as one year, subject to the entry and exit stamps).
Applicants born in a foreign country are required to meet the above criteria and provide a personal birth certificate and the parents' nationality certificates.

4. Brief Introduction to Wuhan University
Editor Notes: It is also one of the "211 Project" and "985 Project"universities as well as one of the earliest comprehensive national universities in modern China.
The history of Wuhan University can be traced back to Ziqiang Institute, which was founded in 1893 by Zhang Zhidong, the then governor of Hubei Province and Hunan Province in the late Qing Dynasty. In the process of development and evolution, the institute changed its name several times before it was finally named Wuhan National University in 1928. It is one of the earliest comprehensive national universities in modern China.

5. About School of International Education(SIE)
Editor Notes: SIE is one of the first members to have passed the certification of studying abroad in China.
- Be responsible for international students' enrollment and cultivation, education and research on teaching Chinese as a foreign language, studying abroad education and the above-related daily administration.
